Our Group began in 1963 when we started as a Volvo dealer, so we spend a lot of time looking back and reminiscing about the past decades of Boston Volvo. But how did our other locations come about?
Honda Village
We started out in the Fall of 1974, when we brought Honda on and added it to our original Volvo Village location in Newton Center. The newly-coined Volvo-Honda Village spent 11 years crammed into one space. In 1985 we took over the old Newton Buick location in Newton Corner, where Honda Village has been ever since.
Audi Norwell & Porsche Norwell
Established by Wolfgang Rietzl in 1970, Rietzl Audi and Reitzl Porsche were fixtures on the South Shore for decades. Mr. Reitzl retired in 2010 and sold the stores to us. Over the last few years we built new facilities for each, moving Porsche across the street to the old South Shore Volvo property.
Volvo Cars Danvers
In 2011 we brought Stutz Volvo into our group. One of the original Volvo dealers in Greater Boston, Stutz moved from Salem over to our Danvers campus and was rebadged as Volvo Cars Danvers. In 2019 we merged the shuttered 128 Volvo into our Danvers operation.
North Shore Nissan
In 2019 we received an exciting offer to establish a new Nissan point on the North Shore. With an available storefront next to our Volvo Cars Danvers dealership, we dove right in and brought Nissan to life in the heart of the retail mecca of Danvers/Peabody.
GMC Danvers
Established by the Moore family in 1969, Moore GMC was a local fixture on the North Shore for 50+ years. In 2021 the Moore's retired and sold the store to Village, making GMC Danvers our 3rd location in Danvers.
Polestar Boston
In 2021 we are pioneering the exciting new Polestar brand in New England. An electric performance brand which will fit seamlessly into your digital life, we are honored to have been selected by Polestar to represent the brand locally and regionally.
McLaren Boston
In 2022 McLaren Boston - along with Koenigsegg Boston and Rimac Boston - formally joined The Village. Renowned for their customer service and expertise in the supercar and luxury vehicle marketplaces, Dan DeSantis and his team are welcome additions to the Village family. With McLaren Boston we now have 3 locations on Pond Street in Norwell.
Brigham-Gill Village CDJR
A local fixture in MetroWest since 1966, Brigham-Gill Motorcars started out as a Pontiac dealer in Wellesley. The store soon moved to Route 9 in Natick and added Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram along the way. In 2023 the Gill family decided to move on from the car business and found a natural fit with Village.
