We are once again proud to have been named a Boston Business Journal Corporate Citizenship Award honoree for 2020.
These awards, now in their 15th year, recognize companies and nonprofits working for the greater good. We here at the Village are committed to being a good neighbor and contributing back to the communities we serve.
Our Annual Boston Volvo Thanksgiving 5K in Allston draws nearly 1,000 runners each year, raising $1+ million dollars over the years for the New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Our charitable arm – The Ciccolo Family Foundation – focuses on a number of different areas including arts and culture, education and the environment. Local organizations we support include the Allston Brighton Community Development Corporation, Friends of Herter Park, Cradles to Crayons and more.
Village Automotive also has a partnership with the Ben Franklin Institute, a two-year tech school in Boston. Students get a part-time job at our stores with one-on-one mentoring and covered costs of second year tool kits, fees and books. This provides students an opportunity to jumpstart their career in the field.
We look forward to continuing to be a committed corporate citizen in our communities for many years to come.
