This is pretty fascinating – ran across these images online while doing some research on another topic. From 1969, they are shots of the Service Department crew in our old Boston Volvo location in Cambridge (304 Mass Ave). Check them out:
What’s even more interesting is that they are by the late Peter Simon, a renown photographer and photojournalist (and the brother of Carly Simon). From what I can tell these are just random shots – maybe he was just walking down Mass Ave one day and wandered in, or perhaps he was getting his Volvo serviced and got to talking with the guys.
In a day and age where our cell phones provide us the ability to pictorially document everything, it is wonderful when we stumble across images which capture a time and a place from our history – a time from which we have very few pix.
